In September 2025, VICCIR marked its 10th annual general meeting and a decade of service to immigrants and refugees on Vancouver Island. The milestone offered a moment to reflect on how much the organization has grown from a small, urgent response into a trusted and sustained source of care.
That growth has always depended on a large circle of people: staff, counsellors, interpreters, volunteers, donors, board members, and community partners who understand that newcomer mental health support must be steady, humane, and accessible.
