VICCIR’s work depends on people who bring skill, steadiness, and a genuine commitment to newcomer mental health. Open roles change over time, but the organization regularly welcomes interest from counsellors, interpreters, volunteers, and people who can strengthen communications, fundraising, research, and operations.

Grant Writer
The Grant Writer works collaboratively with the Executive Director and staff to identify funding needs, develop solicitation strategies, conduct prospect research, structure and prepare related materials, complete and coordinate grant reporting, and ensure necessary follow-up.
Volunteer and contributor pathways
VICCIR also welcomes people who can support research, data stewardship, outreach, events, communications, and other practical needs. Volunteer inquiries can be sent to volunteer@viccir.org. Communications-specific inquiries can go to communications@viccir.org.
Language skills, lived understanding of newcomer experience, and professional grounding in trauma-informed practice are especially valuable.
